Resurrection House
A 501 (c)(3) non-profit, faith-based organization, Resurrection House serves as a day resource center to the homeless of Sarasota County.
The popular notion of a homeless person as a vagrant, someone who chooses to live on the street, is not a current reality. Many homeless are identified as the “new poor.” These individuals who have suffered crisis in their lives find themselves on the street, helpless and unable to regain their place in society.
Our range of services includes showers, restrooms, laundry, counseling, medical treatment, food, clothing, veteran’s assistance, post office and many more. Since the founding of Resurrection House in 1989, we have seen over 32,000 individual clients.
